The Celebration of the 30th Anniversary of the UTHSCSA Podiatry Residency Training Program was an overwhelming success with more than 65 alumni returning for the event, which was held at the Texas Diabetes Institute. Graduates from some of the earliest classes were in attendance, along with Family Practice faculty such as Dr. Leonard Paul, former chairman and Dr. James Gaspard, former residency director. Drs. Charles Fladger and Louis Bogy, early leaders of the program, were also among the honored guests.
Highlights from each decade of the program, which depicted its growth and evolution, were detailed in a brief presentation. Dr. Steve Krych was presented the
Podiatry Residency Training Program alumni of the year award. Dr. Louis Bogy was also recognized for his pioneering efforts in the establishment of the program.
Thanks to those who attended for making this event a success. To those unable to attend, we hope that you will be able to do so in the future, and we look forward to continued participation in the program from all of our alumni.
